In June, Gavin Construction completed a specialized garage, known as a sally port, for the Newtown Township Police Department. The sally port is a secured building with a controlled entryway for the police officers to use when they are transporting a person in their custody.
Gavin Construction completed the demolition of the old carport, excavated the site, installed a new drainage system and constructed the new structure. The sally port has specialized security doors for both overhead and single-door entry.
Gavin Construction needed to reconfigure the parking area and install curbing to accommodate the new building. The new blacktop completed the job and allowed the officers easier access to the new sally port.
Gavin Construction was pleased to complete this commercial construction and work with the Newtown Township Supervisors and Chief Pasqualini.
